Google just dropped a surprise for its Pixel users. The company is making its advanced AI features even more accessible, especially for owners of the new Pixel 9 Pro. It is a big move that offers a significant perk.

Starting now, Pixel 9 Pro owners will receive a full year of the Google AI Pro subscription completely free. This premium offering unlocks a suite of powerful AI capabilities within the Gemini app. A standout feature included in this subscription is Veo 3, Google’s innovative tool that lets you turn your creative ideas into high-quality, short videos with realistic audio, simply by describing them. It truly brings your imagination to life.

But the AI enhancements do not stop there. Google is also rolling out new Circle to Search capabilities. Users in the U.S. and India can now dive deeper into their searches with “AI Mode” in Circle to Search, allowing them to ask follow-up questions about anything on their screen without switching apps. This is a game-changer for quick research. Plus, Circle to Search now offers in-game help, providing helpful articles and videos timestamped to your exact spot in a mobile game. This means no more pausing your game to look up tips.

The AI expansion also extends to wearables. Gemini, Google’s advanced AI model, is now available on Pixel Watch devices running Wear OS, bringing intelligent assistance right to your wrist. You can get the help you need with simple voice commands.

But it’s not just Pixel users getting some love. Google and Samsung have cozied up pretty well. Samsung’s latest devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Watch 8 series, also benefit from new Google AI updates. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 users will receive six months of Google AI Pro, also gaining access to advanced Gemini features and Circle to Search enhancements. For example, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 allows users to share their screen with Gemini for multitasking help, perfect for getting a second opinion while online shopping.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 leverages its Flex Mode, turning the phone into a hands-free AI assistant for tasks like DIY projects or even quick outfit advice on the cover screen. Gemini on the Galaxy Watch 8 series also integrates with Samsung apps like Samsung Health and Calendar. So it’s clear that Samsung is still the face of Android, and Google knows that pretty well, considering how it’s consistently partnering with Samsung to show off brand new AI features, like it did with Circle to Search previously.

Bugs, rollouts, scams, policy enforcement, and the occasional internet-culture rabbit hole are all fair game. My goal is simple — make confusing tech news readable.
