EA recently launched a new patch for Madden NFL 24, updating the blocking mechanic and more. Allegedly “improving” the systems.
However, user reports are claiming the system is just as “bad” as it was. Grievances from users flood social media.

The “improved” AI blocking is still dog shit. Like every damn Madden in recent memory, it’s still really flawed. No competition to make them have game breaking changes. They are complacent. (Source)
It’s the same blocking like previous games… I ain’t a madden expert but I know the same old bull shit when I see it. (Source)
Players are saying that the blocking hasn’t changed at all. They don’t agree with EA’s statement about making the systems any better.
The feedback from users (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) mostly points out that the AI in charge of players’ blockers isn’t good at stopping opponents.
Other than blocking AI issues, players have pointed out other bugs and problems too:
Game stutters
TONS of gameplay bugs
Menus are slower than last year
Player models suck ass
A slew of oversights a year after “the most polished Madden in years” (Source)
Here’ a video about the problems too:
Some players support the “new” Madden NFL 24 blocking update
While the majority of players post their grievances, bashing the game’s systems.
There is a group of players who are giving their words in support of the new update.
The new Madden 24 blocking system is much better (Source)
Seeing the contradicting statements, it is not possible to determine the true state of the game.
EA hasn’t issued any official statement regarding the problem yet.
We’ll keep track of the situation and post an update if and when there are any further developments on the matter.
