The Phone app by Google is one of the most used calling applications on Android. It was initially introduced for google phones and eventually made available for non-Pixels as well.
As of now, the Google Phone app has more than 500 million Play Store downloads. Besides its simple and intuitive UI, this app has much more to offer than just calling.
It provides callers details, answers unknown calls, protects against spammers, and much more. This app is compatible with devices running Android 9.0 or above.
However, lately, some users have come across a glitch in the Google Phone app Call recording feature where they are having trouble recording calls due to a storage glitch.
As per reports, many users are complaining that suddenly the Phone app has started showing a message which says ‘Call recording will be suspended if your smartphone runs out of storage’, even when there is enough storage available.

Judging by the multiple reports doing rounds in the forum, this seems like a widespread issue affecting users of various Android brands.
Unfortunately, a product expert suggested freeing up some storage as a solution, which is useless since they already have enough storage available on their devices.

Nothing conclusive has been found on Google Phone app call recording issue with storage as of now and the situation is still the same for those affected.
We hope Google provides a solution to this Phone app recording glitch as soon as possible. That said, we will keep you updated on the further development of this Google Phone app call recording issue as and when anything new comes up.
